Hearst UK is the publisher of leading lifestyle magazines including Elle, Red, Men’s Health and Esquire. I worked at Hearst as the Digital Marketing Manager for several years, creating content across platforms including email, social media, and editorial websites.
Creating marketing content across fourteen magazine brands comes with some challenges. Readers know these brands intimately, so getting the tone right for each audience was imperative.
What works for a Men’s Health reader might not work for a Good Housekeeping reader, and vice versa!
It was whilst working at Hearst that I decided to become a content creator. I loved writing copy for each of the brands, and working with designers and video producers to create content that caught readers’ attention, converting them from casual website scrollers to paid magazine subscribers.
