I worked for Fluidly as a full time copywriter in 2020. Fluidly is a FinTech company which provides forecasting software for small businesses. My focus was to improve SEO and build engagement through long form articles, white papers and emails.
I joined the company just as the pandemic hit, so much of my content focussed on how business owners should cope with the emerging crisis. It was a tumultuous time to be writing content for small businesses, and the challenge was to strike the right tone.
Ultimately, the articles and white papers I wrote encouraged the audience to see themselves as a community with collective experiences. As a result, we saw more business owners and accountants signing up to webinars than ever before, and greater engagement with our newsletters.
Once I built that trust, I was able to present Fluidly’s software as one of the many ways businesses could keep on top of cashflow during a difficult time.
